Charitable causes have gone hand in hand with Dr. Reddy’s success in business and his generous philanthropic work has impacted thousands of lives. From providing educational facilities and scholarships for aspiring healthcare professionals to assisting those unable to afford medical care.
He was born in to a family of proud village leaders in rural India where he learned the values and guiding principles that led to his remarkable accomplishments. The focus of Dr.Reddy’s charitable work has always been to give back to the communities he serves. He has gifted hundred of millions of dollars to causes related to the health care industry and caring for other. In 1989, he established the Desert Valley Charitable Foundation with an initial gift of $1million. Since then, he has contributed over $350 million to the Foundations.
The victor valley College Foundation in Victorville, CA, has honored Dr.Reddy for the largest private donation in the history of the college by naming its allied Health programs as “Dr. Prem Reddy School of Allied Health and Nursing”. The donation directly addresses the nursing shortage while assisting the next
generation of healthcare professional with scholarships and grants. Dr.Reddy has also donated a Public Health Library to the High Desert Community.
The Western University of Health science in Pomona, CA, named its largest lecture hall the, “Dr. Prem Reddy lecture hall” in honor of his many contributions to education in the health care field. He donated a $1million gift to the Circle of Care Foundation at Sherman Oaks Hospital in Sharman oaks, CA which helps support burn survivors, seniors, and family care givers. The American College of Cardiology in Bethesda, Maryland, designated Dr.Reddy a member of The order of William Harvey, in recognition of and appreciation for outstanding support of the college’s Endowment programs.
Dr. Reddy founded Prime Health Care Foundation in 2006, a 501 (C) public charity with millions pf dollars in charity. The foundation owns acute care hospitals that serve the needs of the underserved communities.
Most recently Reddy as turned his attention to his homeland having bestowed generously to several charities in India where he is determined to make a lasting impact. He received the National Citizen’s award from the Hon’ble Mr. H. D. Deve Gowda, Prime Minister of India.

The Desert Valley Charitable Foundation served the healthcare needs of the High Desert communities in many ways, including a free public health library, a scholarship program for students in the health care field, and the support of other health care related charities.
Dr. Reddy is an active philanthropist and is involved in various charitable causes. He supports several students with annual scholarship grants to assist them in completing their education in the health care field (I.e. nursing, physician, assisting, physical therapy etc.).
Our public health library features books, journals, magazines, videos and free internet for quick access to up-to-the-minute articles on thousands of health-related topics. In addition to community members, college students also use our resources and bright and comfortable reading area of research. Our library also offers school tours for pre-school through high school groups.
